Look to the Future

This award-winning painting was conceived at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic based on the CDC’s online visual guidelines for “hugging during Covid.” The original painting displays two figures, a woman and a child, facing different directions, both wearing masks, hugging. They are standing outside looking over a symbolic burning house in the background with hints of a hopeful dawn beginning to glow on the horizon. Somber, yet graceful, this painting is a depiction of the time in blues and yellows.
