Miles Davis recognized with two awards in 2020

Artist of the Year Award, 2019

Announced in January, Miles was honored with an Honorable Mention in the Artist of the Year Award presented by the Circle Foundation for the Arts. Metamorphosis, the painting that gained this recognition, was recently on view – and sold – at Spectrum Miami during Art Basel Miami Week in December 2019. With over 650 participating artists, Circle Foundation for the Arts selected Miles’s work based on the “aesthetical and technical aspects of [his] images as well as the degree of originality and uniqueness of [his] practice.”

Art in the Time of Coronavirus

2020 has certainly presented the world with unforeseen obstacles and challenges above and beyond our expectations. In the creative industry, with live art shows and events on interminable hold, there is plenty of creative energy to go around. Artavita, worldwide art representative, decided to use that creativity to provoke artists’ reactions centered around the turbulent times that we are currently experiencing.
